Our third daily tour but is subject to availability. Join me for a half day tour to the beautiful town of Poperinge, or "Pops" to the Tommies, and the surrounding area.
The itinerary includes Poperinge New British Cemetery and the Shot at Dawn soldiers buried there, the preserved Death Cells, where these men were held prior to their execution and their memorial site.
The tour then moves on to the world famous Talbot House Museum to walk in the old house and gardens, and of course for a cup of tea!
After Talbot House the beautiful Lijsenhoek Cemetery and visitor centre with toilet facilities is the next destination - the second largest in the area. Once a major medical site, Lijsenhoek holds just under 11,000 graves of various nationalities, all have stories to tell, but we will focus on some of the more unusual .
